Alexander and Jordan
Year 1 Week 39
Alexander: We had a great day at the zoo
over the weekend! We went to the Como Park zoo in St. Paul. We saw
monkeys (oh oh ah ah), zebras (bee-bee), and giraffes (winn - which means
horse). The best part of the zoo was the ducks in the pond. My
parents were not too thrilled about that. They said we could have stayed
home and seen the ducks in the park. I can't help what I like.
We also tried to go on a train (choo-choo) and a truck (fuh [we
hope he learns the "tr" sound before the "k" sound]) at the amusement park
there, but I got too scared. I even went with my mom and dad, but it was
still too scary. I cried the whole time on the train and cried so much on
the truck that we got off before it started. I like to look at them, but
not ride them.
I have a pretty bad cold these last 2 days. I have been
up at night coughing. My nose is always running, and I just do not feel
good. My mom was nice enough to make me some hot soup. My dad, on
the other hand, sat on my chest and arms and squirted yucky syrup in my mouth.
There's no problem telling who loves me more.
Jordan: I almost rolled over today. I got most of the way there and then fell back. I will keep trying, and I will tell you when it happens. I am also smiling a lot recently. Sometimes that smile turns into a full laugh. Then I am truly irresistible. When I smile that big, Alexander comes up to me and hugs me. Unfortunately he is not always gentle about it. The other unfortunate thing is that I am like Alexander when he was young in that I stop and stare at the camera whenever it is pointed at me. That makes it a challenge to get me on video laughing but they did it (see movies).
