Alexander and Jordan
Year 1 Week 36-37
Alexander: My big accomplishment is that I was able to extend my waking hours by 1 hour this past week. Instead of staying up later though, I have worked on getting up earlier. I decided to get up at 4:30am instead of 5:30-6am. I think that has something to do with why my dad put a new doorknob on my door with the lock facing the hallway. So now no matter how much I yell and scream when I get up in the morning, which I am quite proud to say is a lot, I can't come out and jump on my parents or crawl into Jordan's crib.
Jordan: I liked Alexander's idea so much that I decided to try something similar. I put my own little twist on it though. I decided to get up every hour from about 2am until 6am. That way I spread out that extra hour of wake time across a bunch of hours. In retaliation my parents have taken to just letting me cry it out. I was so loud (just like Alexander, I am quite proud of that too) that my parents decided to move out of their own bedroom and sleep on the fold out couch in the living room. I think Alexander and I make a good team.
