Alexander and Jordan
Year 1 Week 24-25
Alexander: I have learned how to say
"Jordan". You might think I would catch on earlier, but remember I am only
18 months old. I can say a lot of other words too like "doggy" (and then
make a doggy noise), "night-night", "up there", and "one, two, three." The
Baby Mozart DVD has taught me what elephants say and do (in case you do not
know, they bend their heads up and down and say unh-unh-unh). My dad made
a video of it.
When my dad went to Chicago for 3 days last week, I did a
real good job helping mommy with Jordan. I tried not to cry too much and I
did everything I was told (almost).
Jordan: My big brother Alexander told me this secret from when he was my age. He said that if I cry all of the time for about 3 months (he called it colic) that mommy and daddy will be forced to hold me all of the time to try to calm me down. So, I decided to give it a try. I might be pushing my luck and ensuring that we will never have a sister, but I really like to be held. Alexander said to ignore them when they say things like, "Can't we trade him in for one that doesn't cry so much?" and, "Maybe we should just let him cry." They love us to much to follow through.
