Year 1 Week 2
I had another first this week. We had the biggest snow storm of the year Friday, and for the first time I went outside and played in the snow. Nana and Aunt Bonny keep telling me stories of how they threw my dad in the snow when he was about my age. Then they listened to him cry while they laughed. Maybe that is why he wakes up shouting "Help! I can't breathe!" in the middle of the night... Anyway, my parents took me out in the snow. They didn't throw me in the deep snow, but they did let me play in it. I was doing fine until my glove came off and then I fell forward face first into the fluffy snow (how's that for alliteration?). The cold and wet snow shocked me, but as soon as they wiped me off I was ready to go again. It was a lot of fun.
|1. 2. 3.||1-3. This snow thing is kind of fun! (Those are my dad's socks I am wearing to keep snow from going up my pant legs.)|
|4. 5. 6.||4. Now I know what it is
like to be tall like my dad.
5. Trapped in dad's legs again. You should see me laugh when he does this.
6. I put a blanket over my head and pretended I was a ghost. It was fun until I ran into the wall.
|7. 8. 9.||7-9. My parents were so happy that I had fun in the snow.|
|10. 11. 12.||10. They caught me in a
rare moment (seriously) watching TV. I don't know what the big deal
is. I'd rather listen to the radio.
11. Lift me up! How can you resist?
12. I think that just about empties out the cupboard...
|13.||13. Family Saturday morning breakfast and a movie.|
