Alexander Week 45
November 13-19, 2004

It seems like the whole family keeps giving each other colds.  I had one and then I gave it to my dad and now my mom is sick.  That probably means I am up next.  Maybe the little bout of pink eye that I have now will count as my turn...
We keep waiting for it to snow here.  The weather is doing funny things.  Sometimes it will be very cold in the teens and then will be in the 60s the next day.  We can not decided whether to put the grill away for the winter or not and sometimes I have to be dressed up like as eskimo (another word for a Minnesotan according to some people) and other times I just need a jacket.  My parents keep telling me about how fun it will be to throw me into the deep snow just like Nana did with my dad when he was a baby.  Of course they always laugh maniacally afterwards which makes me a little scared.
I had mommy all to myself on Saturday, but she was not much fun.  That was the day mommy started to get sick.  Daddy was training to be a Boy Scout Unit Commissioner (whatever that means).  He seems excited.  I missed him because I like it when he pushes me fast on my truck.
I am becoming a little more picky with what I eat.  We are running low on breast milk, so they tried this nasty formula stuff.  I could not eat it.  I like fruit, cottage cheese, and crackers, but I have to be in the mood.  Can somebody tell me what an ulcer?  My mom said I am giving her one.

1. 2. 3. 1.  I like to take my dad for walks...
2.  but sometimes he gets a little carried away.
3.  I really get into a groove when I am playing improvisational jazz.
4. 5. 6. Here is a little glimpse into my morning routine.  All of this took place from 6:00-6:20am.
4.  First, I check the time.  I was crying off and on for 45 minutes, but they refused to get me until 6:00.
5.  Then it is time to open and empty daddy's sock drawer.
6.  I make sure they are not watching...
 7. 8. 9. 7.  while I lean down...
8.  and suck on the window crank.
9.  Then it is time to crawl on mommy while she is trying to sleep.
10. 11. 12. 10.  Finally I brush my teeth (well, actually I just chew on it, but it makes them happy).
11-12.  I love it so much, I could just spend the whole day in my Moody Blues T-shirt.
13. 14. 15. 13-15.  I think this is what they do when they want to make a call.  I make a noise that sounds like "Hello" but nobody ever seems to answer.  Of course the real phone is usually plugged in.
16. 17. 18. 16-17.  Sometimes I need to rest on mommy's belly.
18.  But I am always ready to play.
