Alexander Week 39
October 2-8, 2004
No big changes for the week.
We have been doing a lot of the same things. My biggest challenge is
deciding which presidential candidate to vote for. I watched the debates.
Kerry is such a smooth talker, but Bush looks so funny when he talks. I
can not decide who is more entertaining. Edwards did come to the high
school just down the road, but Bush has driven the deficit to new extremes.
Hmmm...Well I still have 3 more weeks to decided.
Last weekend my folks finally took me on vacation. With
all this playing I really needed to get away from home for a while. We
drove up to Duluth and had a great two day visit. We went to the canal
area and saw many large ships, a lighthouse and a maritime museum (see
pictures). After the sightseeing we went to Famous Dave's, and after much
begging I got to try some barbecue meat.

4-5. under the table and in
the bathroom (to maintain decency we won't show that picture). 6. My first lighthouse. I am not so sure walking along a narrow pier on a very cold and windy day to look at this thing called a lighthouse (I did not even see a light!) was worth it. |

7-8. Now THIS was worth the
cold weather. I watched the bridge raise 100 feet in the air and a
huge ship go underneath. 9. The captain thought I was the cutest kid watching the boat, so he let me steer it for a little while. |

10. After the long morning we stopped at Famous Dave's BBQ for some ribs and beer. As you can see I prefer Bud Light. |
