Alexander Week 26
July 3-9 , 2004

The first 9 days of the "big trip" were to New York.  We spent time with all the grandparents.  We had our first party at Nana and Grandpa McQueen's house on the 3rd.  It was there that I got to meet Great-Grandma and Grandpa McQueen.  I also had a lot of fun with Uncle Cory and Aunt Melissa.  The best part though was that I went swimming for the first time.  I loved it.  I had so much fun splashing and kicking.
On July 4th I want to visit Grandpa Sick and Mmre.  We stayed at the house on Loon Lake and watched the fireworks from there.  At first they scared me and I had to scream a little bit, but I got used to them eventually.  I was even able to sleep through 2 hours of the main fireworks without a peep.  This was also the day that I met Uncle Ben, Uncle Travis, Uncle Rick, Uncle Mark and Aunt Donna and my cousin Alanna.
During the week we also did a little touring of my mom and dad's colleges.  I saw Eastman and the University of Rochester.  They meant more to my parents than they did to me.  We also met up with the Baker's (with that other baby) again for dessert.  I did get to spend some alone time with Nana when my mom and dad went to the movies.  Sometimes it is good to be away from each other - but not for too long.

1. 2. 3. 1-3.  Here I am all ready to go in the water.  The hat is not a fashion statement.  The cast of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" came in and put this woman's scarf on my head to keep the sun off.
4. 5. 6. 4-6.  My first dip in the water.  It is a little bit like the tub, but a little colder and a lot deeper.
7. 8. 9. 7-9.  No more sitting on the steps for me.  I am going for the deep water.
10. 11. 12. 10-11.  I got to spend some quality time with Uncle Cory and his girlfriend Tara.  He told me how he is going to teach me how to fish when I get older.
12.  Why do they think it is cute to take a picture of me while I am in the bath?
13, 14. 15. 13-15.  It is so good to see Grandpa Sick and Memere again.
16. 17. 18. 16-17.  The way my dad described Uncle Ben and Uncle Travis I thought they would each have buck teeth, 11 toes and a tail.  I didn't see any tails.
17.  Alanna was almost as cute as me.
19. 20. 21. 19. When are they going to start feeding me red meat?  Enough of this cardboard-tasting oatmeal.
20.  I don't think frog legs taste anything like chicken.
21.  They should know that babies aren't supposed to play with plastic bags, but I am not going to tell them.
22. 23. 24. 22-23.  Mommy always makes me happy.
24.  I spend an afternoon visiting with Great-Grandma and Grandpa McQueen.
