Alexander and Jordan
September 20 - November 3, 2007
Alexander: On Halloween we were force to be
reckoned with. We went with a group of 8 kids and 6 adults. All of
the boys were dressed as super heroes and the girls were princesses (which meant
that all of us boys had to do all of the crime fighting). We went from
house to house as sneakily as 14 people can and surprised the person opening the
door with a punch to the gut and a loud "Trick. No treat for you". I am
just kidding; we kicked them in the shins. We all came home with a lot of
candy and the go-ahead to eat more than our usual 4 pieces of candy before bed.
My dad had the cool conference up in Northern Minnesota at
the end of October. Instead of going up there alone, he decided (i.e., he
was forced) to take all of us with him. The best part is that we had a
whole apartment to ourselves. Everybody got their own twin size bed.
Even mommy and daddy could have their own bed, so they did not have to sleep in
the same bed anymore (although I wonder why one bed never looked used...).
The resort had an indoor water park, so while daddy was learning more about skin
diseases, the rest of us went swimming and playing at the park.
Jordan: If I see one more leaf on the ground, I am going to scream. At
least that is what my dad says. Per our family tradition we have been
helping him with the leaves in the lawn. For some reason, this year he
says that the best way we can help him is by playing on the other side of the
yard. Maybe he doesn't appreciate us jumping in the pile of leaves as much
as I thought he did...
This week we are featuring a special picture collage of
photographs taken by me and Alexander. Daddy will let us take the camera
and take whatever we want with it. We have realized that daddy does not
capture the kinds of subjects that we consider important, so we looked to fill
in some of the gaps about who we are.
