Alexander and Jordan
Christmas and New Years 2007
Alexander and Jordan:
We decided to get together with our
friends for Christmas Eve this year. The kids exchanged presents and the
adults visited. It was all nice and normal until they brought out the
Purple Orb. This was a hideous styrofoam ball on a stick with feathers
coming off of it. It was strangely captivating and compelled us to worship
it. So we caved and bowed to the orb. Now we look back and regret
the whole evening.
Christmas day was spent with just the four or us. The
Santa at Perkins told us, after giving us a strange look, that he would make
sure we got a dragon and a pegasus. And he did. They were waiting
for us down by the fireplace. We then went upstairs to open more presents.
We had a ton of fun. Of course we had to pick up the wrapping paper
afterwards - like good little boys.
New Years Eve we stayed up for a little while and had a
celebration. Then we had to go to bed while everybody else stayed up to
celebrate the new year. We did not mind too much because we were pretty
tired.
As if that was not enough partying, the following week we had
Christmas at daycare. A clown came and did a lot funny tricks with
balloons and his saxophone. Then Father Christmas came and brought us all
presents. To get our present, though, we had to each sing a song. We
sang Itsy Bitsy Spider.
