Alexander and Jordan
October 13 - 22, 2006
Alexander: Mommy and daddy decided to try
something out on us. I am not quite sure what to think yet. They
took away the TV. There is no longer a TV upstairs. They noticed
that all that we wanted to do when we woke up and then when we got home from
daycare was watch shows - Barney, Sesame Street, Wiggles. We stopped
playing with our toys and stopped reading. For the last week we have been
toy-playing, reading fools. Occasionally we get to go downstairs and watch
movies down there but not nearly as much as we used to. Honestly, I kind
of like it.
I am still working on the pooping in the potty thing.
For the first time this week, nothing went in my pants first (or last). I
got an ice cream - my prize for sitting on the potty, and I got my belt back -
my prize for pooping in the potty. I was happy. My parents don't
believe it yet (rightfully so).
Jordan: Cats say "Me-now", dogs say "Aarf Aarf"
and monkeys say "dum ditty dum". We have been reading the monkeys drum
book "one thumb one thumb drumming on a drum dum ditty dum ditty dum dum dum".
This weekend we went to the community center twice. The
first day we went to the maze. We had a little too much energy on
Saturday, so we had to go to the maze to burn off steam. Sunday we went
back to play in the pool with our friends Kyle and Ethan. We had a little
too much fun. Before we even left the parking lot I was falling asleep and
was so tired that I ended up missing lunch.
